 Before admission

STEP 1. Choose the desired program and institution!

Find the desired study program and university. Check the requirements of admission.

For undergraduate studies: Higher secondary school with 60 % and above marks

STEP 2. Learn about Financing: Scholarship or Self-finance!

Scholarships

Many state funded Russian universities have scholarship quotas for foreign students — you can study for free.

If you get the scholarship in quota system then university provides free accommodation too.

Find out which educational institutions is providing scholarship and requirements. You can study undergraduate, specialist, master's, postgraduate studies, postgraduate specialist training and advanced training programs, and Russian language.

For scholarship on quota base, you must pass a selection process.

Check the requirements and list of universities offering scholarships quotas on Russian education official portal.

Paid contract

There are two options: finance your study yourself or try to get a grant, find a sponsor, (e.g. a foundation)

Please check the tuition fee at your chosen university.

STEP 3. Prepare documentation and apply!

• Scan school/college leaving certificate.

• Scan first 2 pages of passport.

Applying for Admission

Many universities have option for online application, so students can apply directly to university.

Some universities have recruiting agents in different countries.

After admission

STEP 4. Waiting for your invitation letter!

After verification of your documents, university will apply for official invitation letter to Immigration office of Ministry of interior Russia.

Nowadays the immigration office issues e-invitation letters and sends them directly to your email and university email.

Issuing of invitation letter takes almost 30 days.

Meanwhile you are waiting for invitation letter, collect other documents for visa:

Not! Indian students have exemption of this lengthy process and university can issue invitation letter.
